All About Concrete Plant And Its Working Principle
All About Concrete Batching Plant and Working Principle Concrete batching plant used in industry, also known as concrete batching plant or concrete batching plant, is a device in which a large number of components such as cement, sand, water and other additives are brought together to form concrete. Dosing is the process of weighing the ingredients and introducing them into the mixer to develop a concrete batch. Concrete has been recognized as one of the most durable materials used in bridges, homes, highways, sidewalks and other construction works.
Combined with the concrete plant, its parts and accessories, it produces high quality concrete. To understand the working principle of a concrete batching plant, it is important to know the different components of the batch plant.
Concrete Plant Components
• Aggregate Feeders – With the help of placed bunkers, aggregate, sand, etc., with the help of bunkers holding different sizes of aggregate/sand for different compartments.
• Cement Weighing Hopper – Hold large volumes of cement that comes in bulk. Cement bags are placed on top of the hopper and fall into the hopper when the cement bags are torn.
• Aggregate Weighing Hopper – Used to weigh the aggregates one by one and transfer them for further processing. Aggregates are discharged with the help of pneumatic cylinders.
• Double Shaft Mixer – One of the main components of the concrete plant. All materials are mixed with the help of a twin shaft mixer. It ensures that the concrete is mixed thoroughly by gaining a homogeneous appearance and that all components are distributed equally.
• Control Panel – The operation of the dosing plant is controlled by the control panel. It aids in fast and accurate measurements of the components that help produce high quality concrete. The latest machines also help save and print mix material recipes.
• Additives – Three different types in liquid form, stored separately.
• Water – Depending on the volume required for mixing, the water is controlled by the meter system.
The processing of concrete batching begins with the feeding of aggregate into individual hoppers. Aggregates set in the control panel are weighed individually according to the design. After the aggregates are weighed, they are converted back to the mixing unit. There are weighing bunkers for cement, additives and water, which aim to transfer the contents to the mixing unit above the mixing unit. With the weighing conveyor, the cement is converted and the water is also pumped. Concrete is made in a twin shaft mixer where all components are mixed homogeneously. With the help of the control panel, the timer is set to mix the materials, and the elapsed time stops the mixing process and the concrete is loaded into the truck.
